River red gums at sunset

The name is the brief

How we look after the river

We want people to explore the Murray in a way that looks after the place we love.

Renewable powered bikes

At base the fleet charges from solar. On the road the trailer has an off-grid setup that can top up four bikes at once — so we aren’t hunting for a wall socket wherever we’re parked.

Leave no trace

Stick to formed tracks. Take rubbish with you. Bikes have bottle holders so you can bring a reusable instead of buying plastic on the trail.

Accredited, measured

Green Pedal holds Sustainable Tourism Accreditation, is a VTIC member and a Licensed Tour Operator. We scored strongly on the Strive 4 Sustainability Scorecard and we keep improving.

Small, local, lasting

Family business. We buy local where we can, maintain equipment so it lasts, and keep paper down. Every ride that replaces a short car trip is a small win for the river.
