Echuca Moama is one of the best places in regional Victoria for easy, scenic cycling. Mostly flat, excellent river views, coffee or wine without riding far. These five are suitable for most fitness levels — especially on an e-bike.

1

Echuca Scenic Trail

Echuca Scenic Trail

About 5 km loop · Easy · all ages

A gentle riverside loop that shows off the Murray and Campaspe meeting. Native bushland, kangaroos on quiet mornings, kookaburras, and paddle steamers on the river.

Start near Victoria Park on Crofton Street. The path is well signposted — mostly sealed or smooth gravel.

After the ride: Wren Courtyard Café or the Port Ice Creamery on High Street. Families often finish at Hopwood Gardens.

2

Ride to St Anne’s Winery & 3 Black Sheep

Ride to St Anne’s Winery & 3 Black Sheep

About 10 km return · Easy

Start on Murray Esplanade in the historic Port, cross into Moama, and follow quiet tracks to St Anne’s for a complimentary tasting. Coffee or a meal at 3 Black Sheep on the way.

Detours to Moama Beach and Horseshoe Lagoon. The return over Dhungala Bridge is the river view everyone photographs.

3

Riverbank Restaurant Ride (Moama)

Riverbank Restaurant Ride (Moama)

About 10 km · Easy

Over the bridge into Moama on shared tracks and quiet streets to Riverbank Restaurant & Café inside Moama Waters Holiday Park. Proper Murray outlook, cakes worth the ride.

Almost entirely sealed or good gravel — works on a standard bike or e-bike. Check weekend hours and book ahead if you can.

4

Banyule Forest Ride

Banyule Forest Ride

Flexible · Easy to moderate

Start behind the Echuca Aquatic Reserve on Heygarth Street and head into Banyule Forest. Winding tracks; one of the nicest follows the Murray to Chinamen’s Bend — a quiet sandy bank, paddle boarders drifting past.

Return via Middle Track or the levee. Longer outing: continue to Cape Horn Winery. Coffee after: The Bee Keeper’s Table on High Street.

5

Campaspe River Ride

Campaspe River Ride

About 5 km · Easy · great for families

Start at Lions Park on Campaspe Esplanade (off Ogilvie Avenue). Sealed shared path through bushland, footbridges and birdlife — including possum glider nesting boxes.

At Warren Street Bridge you can cross, loop back, or continue toward Dhungala Bridge into Moama. Bell handy — walkers and joggers share the path. Finish at Moama Bakery in Crossenvale Village if you’re that side.
